Whoo Hoo - a comfortable bib!
5 out of 5 stars
Like it says, a comfortable bib. But why the Whoo Hoo. Unlike most other bibs on the market, the shoulder straps are nice and stretchy elastic. What does this do? Well, it was a revelation to me on my first ride. I'm used to bibs that have the over the shoulder part of the bib composed of the same or similar material that is used in the part of the bib above the stretchy lycra shorts. This is often mesh or a woven light cloth that's sometimes even a bit stretchy on it's own. It's not the material itself, but the sewn seams at each side of the bib straps that often makes the bib a tight fit. If you're a guy, you notice this the most when you stop by the side of the road to take a pee. Unusual to say the least that this was the revelation point of my experience with this bib. It was actually easy to take a pee. The shoulder straps stretch so that you're not hindered by the tight seams in the straps. No more Quasimodo stance with your shoulders rolled forward to get the front of the bib down far enough to pee. Seeming a silly point, but think of it next time you stop for a pee in the bushes by the side of the road. Otherwise, it's a very comfy short. I haven't done any long long rides yet, so it's hard to comment on the CVP pad at this point. The right thigh pocket is big enough for an iPhone. The left thigh pocket was divided into two and would be good for bars. Unfortunately both the pockets on the back of the bib are divided in two as well. Another full width stretch pocket on the back would be great for a wallet - even better as it's hidden away in a very secure spot. A simple fix on Endura's part - just don't sew one little seam. I may decide to pick apart the seam very carefully to get this feature. It feels like sacrilege, but maybe I'll do it if it seems like something I will actually need and use. Overall, the most comfortable bib I have. I may get the cool looking olive green one next. Yes, I'd think about buying a second - the highest praise any product can have.
