Great but....

I'd love to have given these 5* as they are very comfortable etc but unfortunately after 5 months the sole is coming away from the upper in a pretty drastic way, few more rides and I may end up with the bottom of the shoe clipped in and the rest coming away from the peddle

At a time when I needed to replace my ageing Sh*m*no MTB clipless skate shoes I spotted these and thought I'd give them a go since Endura products are usually well designed. Straight out the box, look good, fit well...and come with two pairs of laces! With Time atac cleats fitted, I was surprised to find that they sit slightly proud of the sole, a minor problem but pretty odd these days. To walk in, they feel more like a proper 'trainer' than any other MTB clipless skate shoe I've had and a nice touch is the gripper inside the heel. The insoles are well contoured if a bit stiff / wooden like, but didn't take long to get used to them. One of the major plus points for me is the fact that they have NO MESH PANELS! Hooray, MTB shoes designed for UK weather and not Californian sunshine! That makes them proper all-year-rounders for me! Even a quick shower under the taps found no pesky leaks! On the bike they performed as well as you'd expect from Endura and held my feet firmly and way better than my last shoes from the big S. Only issue I have with them is the velcro lace retainer which is very flimsy and because it doubles over, gets in the way every time you tie / untie your laces. Not really had the chance to properly thrash them yet, but I've found nothing so far to suggest they won't perform well both on and off the bike and the build quality looks like they will last a fair old while. Pros - Snug fit, comfortable (sized correctly), grippy sole, waterproof, feel good on / off bike, good styling, look good Cons - Cleat sits proud of sole, flimsy lace retainer
