Poor sizing

I am a 34 inch waist and 40 inch chest and 6ft tall. I am a lifetime cyclist and feel that the jersey/jacket is extremely nice to wear but has no wind protection and the sizing is "odd". I bought the small after trying it in the store which is just about small enough on the torso but short in the arm length ( I did suspect that this would be the case as I should not really be buying a small judging by my physical size) I would recommend this jersey to someone who is not really concerned about wind protection.
